More Imperial Guard.

I've started on my I.G. army.
Here's how I painted my 1st Shadowsword.

First up is a spray of light gray. A wash using Woodland Scenics Green undercoat is next followed by detailing the guns, tracks and exhaust with silver. A green Diamond is painted for the company badge and white and red stripes are used for company markings. The whole thing is washed again with Woodland Scenics Black and a little W.S. Raw Umber is used on the tracks for dirt. Done. The washes make painting Epic stuff pretty easy.


My Guard infantry is mostly from Dark Realm Miniatures (with a bit GW character thrown in).
Mark_Logue will soon be able to provide DRM goodies to us here in Australia ;D

Of course I still need Chimeras (got 15... not enough) and after that a couple of Deathstrike Missile launchers and 6 Rough Rider units.

3 Regiments worth of Guardsman (DRM)
3 Command stands (including the Supreme Commander) (DRM & GW)

Haven't used them yet (most only half painted) so I don't know if I've got all the bases covered. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I've got 2 Leman Russ Companies now .


1 of my StormTrooper Platoons (using CAV proxies for Valkyries).


And one of my favourites - An Exterminator made using a spare twin turret.




I'm currently working on a DRM based Tech Guard army for a mate. I've also still got over 5000pts of Tyranids for me and my brothers Eldar army to finish off... :cool:

Congratulaions onyx - they look amazing, the mixture of the DRM & CAV figures don't look out of place at all...

Seriously major amounts of armour too - from the super heavies, to troop transports. Would love to see how they fair on the table top...

Looking forward to reading some battle reports.
