After painting a couple of Eldar armies now they have grown on me. I used to think of them as panzy pointy eared space gits but now I think of them as a dynamic and interesting force with a lot of different painting opportunities. My wife plays Eldar occassionally in Epic and BFG and ended up with a whole bunch of stuff in Epic, 40K and BFG that will never end up getting painted so I have decided to take the plung and paint up a Saim Hann force in all three scales. So far I have mostly been painting the 40K side of things but here is the first part of the Epic force I have painted.

I ended up deciding to try my hand at some Saim Hann symbols on the Falcons. I didn't think I would be able to pull it off but I was pleasently surprised by the results. I am still not 100% sure about my basing scheme. I have just put them on these bases for the photos because I painted a heap of bases first up. They aren't glued on so repainting the bases is still an option unless they start to grow on me.

Looking good Mark, about time you had some Eldar of your own.

Mate, they are so good. Love this stuff!
I'll have to get a load of those bases off you one day. They are brilliant.

Thanks guys.
Just let me know how many you need! I am going to drill out some of the ones I am using for infantry and then create another master to make doing infantry on round bases easier.
I still have a few more epic armies to go and they are all going to get the round bases (Necrons and Dark Eldar).
Most of my other armies are on the long rectangular ones so I will stick with them for my chaos and imperial forces.
I am hoping I can get a fair way though my Epic Epic project this year. I have pretty much finished on purchaing stuff as I have pretty much every model I want (except some of the models not produced by GW that may become available).
Unfortunately I hope the same thing every year and for some reason I never seem to get everything finished.

Various distractions have put a complete freeze on painting for way too long. My games room became a swimming pool after the hot water pipe busted within the wall cavety so all my gaming stuff got in a staight of dissary being moved aorund to make sure nothing was wrecked and create proper storage for everything. Back into the Saim Hann I am working on the Epic Jetbikes so I can make the force feel like a real Saim Hann army. I photoshopped a couple of 40K Jetbikes in the the image to allow comparision of the schemes (the ones with bases). I probably have 8 times this amount still to paint . I haven't counted but its a big big pile.

All Eldar are filth--their very existence is an affront to the Emperor. But otherwise...they look great! I often wish I could paint (or had the patience to paint well, at least). Bravo, sir!

Exactly how I felt gr00v3r. The taint of the xenos filth seems to have infused into my very essance during the process of painting CAL001's Ulthwe Eldar and now I find myself commanding a force of the foul xenos scum. No wonder the inquisition knocks off everyone who so much as has a 5 second encounter with the traitorous alien scum.
I just had a patch of insomnia (or stupidly drunk a can of red bull at bed time) and painted everything else I needed for my 3000pts list I am using against Onyx this weekend.
All of the bases for tanks have been redone to match the scheme I used in my 40K.
No pictures till after the weekend as otherwise I will be giving away my army list (appart from the whole Saim Hann, lots of jetbikes thing that I have going).
I'll try and take some in game shots.
